1/4 cup olive oil
3 large cloves garlic, minced
1 loaf French bread, cut into 1/2-inch
slices
8 oz. POLLY-0 Whole Milk Mozzarella Cheese,
thinly sliced
6 plum tomatoes, chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh oregano*
*Or use 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves,
crushed.
Preparation
MIX
oil and garlic. Brush both sides of bread
slices lightly with oil
mixture. Place on cookie sheet. Broil 1
to 2 minutes on each side or
until lightly toasted.
TOP each toast slice with
1 cheese slice and chopped tomato.
BROIL about 4 inches from
heat 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is
melted. Sprinkle lightly with oregano. Serve
immediately. Makes
about 2 dozen.
